Puget Sound Announces 2 New Board Members
Please join us in congratulating Paul Berendt and Joe Cruz as new Board Members for the Puget Sound Region. Recently, Paul Berendt was elected Board Member for the Puget Sound Board of Directors; and Joe Cruz was nominated to serve as Board Member for the Junior Advisory Board. Both their desire to represent all the volleyball communities in the Puget Sound Region greatly reflects a shared commitment, dedication, & devotion towards strengthening all relationships between all volleyball communities and the Puget Sound Region. Power Ranking League in Full Swing
And they're off... Wow, it's great to see the OVC Teams off to such a great start. The Power Ranking League consists of a series of Tournaments that are a large portion of our season. Throughout the course of the Power Ranking League Tournaments, teams that finish at the top of their "Flight" are shuffled up a flight, and transversely, those that finish near the bottom, shuffle down. The standings after the final tournament will be used to seed teams into the USAV, Puget Sound Regional Championships (a.k.a. "Regional’s"). All age groups will have their own "Regional’s". Due to the number of teams at the various age levels, and the opportunity to strengthen our teams with tougher competition, the PSR has combined a few of those age levels. For example 13u & 14u play together, 17u & 18u play together. Another interesting item of note, is that our OVC 14 RoShamBo is one of two 14u teams (that I know of) who decided to play the entire Power Ranking League up to the 15u level, so if you're looking for their results, you'll need to look among the 15u teams (you'll find them near the top). Parents start thinking about the OVC Summer Volleyball Camp. We plan on having the Gold Medal Squared Instructors out for the next step in the progression of training.
